A Flashback of Our Week!

Here is our week in review...

1.  Fly swatter math with multiplication :

The kids love this!  Have you tried it???

It is a great game of motivation and speed for any facts you would like your kiddos to learn!
The younger kids used it with their alphabet cards for letter identification and sounds.
I also plan on using it more for number recognition, foreign word recognition
( we are learning Spanish & Hebrew), and shape recognition!

All you need to play are fly swatters for each child and card facts.

Put a card down and whoever says the answer correctly and is the first to swat it wins!

The one with  the most cards wins!

We used our Eggcellent Multiplication Cards that you can see more of here.
There are many ways to gain speed in memorization of math facts.
Games such as this, multiplication war, and basketball multiplication are just a few.
What are some of your favorites?

2.  We have also been counting the Omer since Passover and memorizing Bible verses:

...using these chocolates for incentives!

This worked for the first week but I seriously ate to many!
Now our incentives are computer typing games on typing web!
(It's a great free resource for kids to learn to type)

This is a picture of our counting the omer  page.
The kids count the omer each day and staple it on the right number.

We are actually about half way through!
If you would like to count the Omer or use these for counting from Resurrection Day
(Feast of Firstfruits or Yom HaBikkurim (during Passover)
to Pentecost (Shavaot) you can grab it here.

Here is our completed Passover Lamb craftivity!
We used it to learn our Hebrew Aleph Bet letters.
We also made a cute little scroll with our Hebrew /English verse rolled up on cut skewer sticks!

I think they came out so cute!
Grab them in my store here!

Here is a little picture of our Arts & Crafts door!

3.   Taking  Care of Me:

This is my new wallet:)  I couldn't resist any more-It matches my cute  new black  purse!!

...now we only have a few left...

 or

4.  We revisited our I can Toucan unit and You can too!

I Can Toucan - Rainforest Birds Craftivity, Book, Coloring Sheets, and Song

There is a new craftivity  mask just added!.
Stay tuned I am updating the file this week in my stores!

Doesn't she make a cute toucan:)???

5.  Greek and Latin Roots
We have also been continuing working on all our Greek & Latin Roots in our notebook.
The kids have to write their Greek or Latin root and then draw the definition without using any words!
They then get to use their notebook on the final exam!

I'm not sure if they love drawing or using all those sharpie colors...
but whatever it is  - they enjoy it !

Don't you just love this picture?

Final Passover Flash Freebies!

If you were to  hang around me long enough you would come to see that I love all things Ancient
Hebrew:)

For many Christians Easter has just passed and Passover is almost over for many Jews.  What many of you might not realize is that there is a direct correlation to the Ancient Hebrew Feasts and Jesus´s Death, Burial, and Resurrection spoken of in the Bible!

Did you know Jesus Fulfilled these Spring Feasts of the Ancient Bible?

These Ancient Feasts have their origins with Moses and the Children of Israel coming out of Egypt thousands
of years before Jesus.  During the days of Jesus, in Israel, these same feasts were still celebrated.

Jesus died during the Passover season.  He is our Passover Lamb.  The lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.

Jesus celebrated the Passover eating the unleavened bread ( matzah)  during his last supper.  He said to eat the bread...it was his body...matzah.  Matzah does not have yeast.  Yeast is a picture of sin.  Jesus did not have sin!  He is the Matzah!  (In a symbolic kind of way)

Jesus rose from the dead 3 days and 3 nights after he died.  If you look at this picture that I made you can see how he died during Passover and rose again on Feast of Firstfruits!

Yeshua (Jesus in Hebrew) is the Firstfruit of all who will rise from the dead!
1Co 15:20  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. ..
1Co 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

On this same day the omer is starting to be counted.  It will be counted for 50 days.  It ends on another Ancient Feast Day - Shavaot - What Christians know as Pentecost!

Be on the look out for another Ancient Hebrew Card then!

Be sure to grab these card right away...they are free for the season of Passover ONLY then the Flash Passover Freebies will be over!  Make sure you grabbed them all from the previous posts!
Chag Sameach!  Happy Holy Days!

More Passover Freebies!

I hope you are having a wonderful Passover!
May you have a Blessed Passover Season!
We have been having fun making matzahs, eating macaroons, and now counting the omer!
I have a few more freebies for you this morning...

I added more numbers to my ribbon calendar for counting the omer
 - they go up to 112 and there is an extra blank page too! You can grab them here but hurry they are only free until Passover is over:)
(If you need the whole calendar you can find it here)

This next one is part of the Passover lamb craftivity.  I made this sheet for practicing Hebrew in cursive and block Hebrew.

This is a Ancient Paleo Hebrew Poster ( or you can print it smaller for a card) with the meaning of Passover in Hebrew!

If you don't know a little about Paleo Hebrew let me explain a little of the background.
Paleo Hebrew is the ancient Hebrew that goes back 1000's of years.  It is similar to the ancient hieroglyphics of Egypt in that all the letters have a picture meaning as well as a letter sound.  It is also similar to the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics in that there are root words with a ancient concept attached.  Here we have three Paleo Hebrew letters in the word Passover in Hebrew.  Hebrew reads left to right.  The first letter "Pey" makes a "p" sound but is also a picture of an opening or mouth.  The second letter "Samech" makes an " s" sound and is a picture of thorns or a hedge of protection.  The third letter "Chet" makes a back of the throat "ch" sound and is a picture of an entrance or doorway!  Now put all the meanings together to get a conceptual meaning of the word Pesach!   Enjoy:)

May you enter in to the place of protection and safety this Passover season through the blood of the lamb!

PS: Don't forget to grab your other freebies posted earlier this week before Passover is over!
