I Can Toucan!

I Can Toucan enjoy the winter (summer ) in Panama!
(It´s summer here in Dec. because the rain has finally stopped to 1-2 times per week, with beautiful mists called the baja recke  in this rain forest mountain land)

We just finished up our Rainforest Toucan study...and we can´t stop singing our song-lol

Here´s a free toucan coloring sheet for you....just right click on the image & enjoy:)

I finally got a picture of one of my favorite buses here, it´s what the public transportation looks like & it´s very dependable believe it or not!  I love this bus because it reminds me of the low riders from S. California & those Cheech & Chong movies-lol  Remember those?  Inside it´s even better - velvet interior, good stereo system, I could go on and on...:)  Anyways taking a trip from David to Boquete or Boquete to David is quite the family experience and makes a good field trip to visit the bus terminal too...you can pretty much get anywhere in Panama from there -Just like the toucans!
Here´s a little of our fun arts & crafts that  we been doing recently with some of those shiny glittery pipe cleaners from the dollar store...

flower made from 3 pipe cleaners and a plastic bottle lid

little snowmen - to remind us that some of our friends have snow right now:)
(sometimes we kind of miss it)
Toucan cut & painted from a paper towel cardboard

and then our toucan craftivity

and books, used those same pipe cleaners:)

we loved singing the "I Can Toucan" song to the tune of
good night ladies and learning a little bit more about those amazing birds
we see...did you know they eat eggs, nuts, fruit, and hop around?

"I Can Toucan, I  Can Toucan, I Can Toucan, and you can too!"
If you would like to do this little craftivity you can find it here at my tpt store.

We thought they looked like little purses too...so then we took our little books to
the store to get some things we forgot for our turkey dinner:)
YES we finally found some turkey in Central America...!!!
So thankful, hope you get to enjoy some good turkey too...

  2. Hi Dinah, I’m Anne from Life on the Funny Farm (http://annesfunnyfarm.blogspot.com), and I’m visiting from the Weekend Social Mix Blog Hop.

Wow, what great pics, what a cool life you live! Fascinating. My cousin and his wife live in Panama. They started a resort there (Tranquillo Bay) a number of years ago, and they love it! I've been wanting to go, but haven't found the chunk of time I would need to travel there. Someday....

Anyway, thanks for posting this. If you’ve never visited yet, I hope you can pop by my blog sometime to say hi…
